Technically Largo is our most elaborate model. The impressive, large-size parasol has an unusual and elegant shape opening upwards like a tulip. The underlying principle of a parasol is literally turned »upside down«. Only the textile covering and the cladding of the center pole are visible. Other technical details are nearly all hidden in the parasol. Pure premium beauty. The parasol’s sturdiness is guaranteed for wind speeds of up to a max. of 130 km/h.

Special Technical Detail
The membrane has a hidden zipper at the bottom. This enables you to work inside the parasol when in a half-opened position, e.g. to exchange defect light bulbs.

Standsäule
Ein Schirm kann qualitativ nur so gut sein, wie seine tragenden und verbindenden Bauteile es sind. Auf den ersten Blick ist der Unterschied nicht ersichtlich: Aber der Großschirm von Bahama besteht aus einer Innen- und Außensäule, die sich optisch zu einer Standsäule vereinen. Eine höhere Stabilität bedeutet auch gleichzeitig eine bessere Standhaftigkeit mit entsprechender Sicherheit.

Installation
Die im Fundament montierte Konsole ist das Verbindungsstück zwischen der massiven Standsäule und dem Untergrund. Sie führt sowohl den Elektroanschluss in den Schirm, als auch die Drainage fürs Entwässern.

Housse protectrice
Not only does it keep everything together, it also keeps it clean. Film packaging is often not enough protection. To this end it includes – especially for winter or long-term storage – a robust protective cover of high-quality betex-fabric (betex®05) with PVC reinforcement, with cording and zipper.
Antivol
At the lower end of the membrane there is a two-part, cylindrical safeguard. The metal cylinder can be locked thus protecting against theft and unauthorized use as well as against spray water. Rainwater is collected in the cylinder and led into the drainage in the footing console. Here you will also find the motor and/or the crank slot for opening and closing the parasol.

There are moments when time flies by. The sun was just shining and now twilight has set in. The »light« installed in the parasol creates a uniform and pleasant atmosphere that turns the night into day and lets you forget the time.

Ouverture et fermeture
The smaller models (round up to ø 10.5 m & square up to 8 x 8 m) are opened and closed using a hand crank and reduction gear. Larger parasols are motorized. Smaller models can optionally be equipped with a motor.

Insert the key and turn it to the right in the direction OPEN.
Or: Insert the hand crank in the slot provided and turn clockwise.

Insert the key and turn it to the left in the direction CLOSE.
Or: Insert the hand crank in the slot provided and turn counter-clockwise. Should you intend to keep the parasol closed for a longer period, attach the safety strap.

Durabilité et impact environnemental
La toile betex®05 fabriquée en exclusivité pour Bahama et les membranes textiles réalisées avec cette toile sont toutes certifiées OEKO-TEX 100 pour la classe de produits 1. Ce label est attribué par des organismes indépendants. La classe 1 correspond aux exigences des vêtements pour bébés portés à même la peau.
Les tests de substances nocives OEKO-TEX sont basés sur l’utilisation prévue pour les textiles et matières concernés. Ils représentent un critère probant pour la durabilité et l’impact environnemental. Toujours dans l’esprit du développement durable, Bahama propose des pièces de rechange pour les pièces défectueuses ou endommagées.
Made in Germany
Les clients de Bahama mentionnent régulièrement l’importance d’une production réalisée en Allemagne. Le »Made in Germany« continue d’être un argument de qualité, et donc de vente. Nous produisons presque toutes les pièces nous-mêmes.
Grâce à l’interaction entre la qualité optimale de ses matériaux et les spécificités de conception technique de ses produits, Bahama garantit une résistance au vent qui peut aller jusqu’à 130 km/h selon les modèles. En plus des éléments techniques, la stabilité des couleurs ainsi que la résistance à la pénétration de l’eau et à la pression d’une colonne d’eau des membranes textiles sont déterminantes. L’hôtel de luxe Burj Al Arab à Dubaï, l’hôtel Sacher à Vienne ou encore le musée Dalí à St. Petersburg aux Etats-Unis notamment font confiance à Bahama.
Service
Le service clients influe considérablement sur la durée d’utilisation du parasol. Après avoir été exposées à tous les temps pendant des années, les membranes textiles amovibles des parasols Bahama peuvent être nettoyées ou remplacées. Dans le cadre du service clients, il est procédé à une révision technique complète du produit si bien que les parasols retrouvent non seulement belle allure, mais bravent aussi les rafales les plus fortes.

Protection contre le rayonnement UV
A l’instar des indices de protection solaire, il existe, pour les textiles, un facteur de protection contre le rayonnement solaire (UPF). Il s’agit d’une protection directement intégrée dans la toile. Pour la fabrication des membranes textiles de ses grands parasols, Bahama utilise la toile de marque betex®05 qui répond aux exigences UPF50+. Ce niveau, qui correspond à un « excellent » facteur de protection contre le rayonnement UV signifie que moins d’un cinquantième (< 2 %) des rayons UV passe sur la peau à travers la membrane.
